Chapter 2
Someone hears that TJ Avery's trial is next month in Strawberry. No one has hope in the jury's decision becuase no one would believe a black man's story over a white man's word. After school all the children go home to tell there parents. Cassie reviels who started the fire on the Logan's farm that interupted TJ's hanging and saved him. Cassie found her mom chopping firewood and thinks back to when mom was a teacher before she got fired for oganizing a boycott. Mama says that TJ will probably get hanged. Stacy wanted to go to the trial but his parents dontwant him to. Mr Jamison knows Papa started the fire on the Logan's farm. Stacy goes tothe trial anyway with Wordell and Joe. Cassie, Little- Man, and Christophor John go along too.

ReplyDeleteThis is very good it lets in all the info from chapter two. Yet it needs to be more specific and tell the details not just the little general details.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kaleigh. It wasn't real specific.
ReplyDeleteYes it was a quite excellent but not descriptive-specific enough.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this one , but personally i think that if you just have put a little more detail in it , it would hit the SPOT (: but other than that it was great !

This summary is really good. I think the it has been told in great deatil. I couldn't of done it better.
ReplyDeleteThis tells alot about what is happening at the begining of the chapter and it has amazing detials i love it alot tho who ever wrote it did a great job!! But its still missing alittle more......you know info about the end of the chapter
ReplyDeleteI qgree with Dis Columbian kid it needs more info just a little bit more
ReplyDeleteWOW ! it tells good details , but i agree with others it could had been a little better .

ReplyDeleteI agree , it's very good =] Explain's alot !
ReplyDeleteWell I think taht this paragraph is really good because it has alot of info. Its not faiir that they believe a white persons story instead of a balck persons story. The good thing is that cassie came and told the whole story and the judge let T.J. free.
ReplyDeletegraet summary i dont think should have all white people in the jury
ReplyDeleteIt was a great chapter but it was missing a little i think! it could have used more information about the end of the chapter
ReplyDeletei tihnk this is a good summary because it says all the important stuff you need to know in tht chanpter..... and i would beleive whoever i tohught was right not just because tht person was black.

ReplyDeleteI liked the summary, but it could have had a little more detail in what it says. More detail in the end, also. I think that it was great that the Judge let him talk, but I think the only reason they didn't believe him was that he was black. They shouldn't judge someone like that. I think that they should listen to TJ's story with respect and not disrespect just, because he is a black man.
ReplyDelete-Autumn Gray!
i dont believe tj did that i think that ms.barnett was trying to deny the fact that she was wrong. i dont think i could live back in those days this is a very good summary.its just not right the way whites used to blacks back then.
ReplyDeleteI agreed with Autumn i think that the judge didn't believed TJ because he was black. I also liked the summery it was very intesting and i liked the details
ReplyDeleteFor the most part this summary was a good one except you could have mentioned why their parents said they didn't want stacey to go.
ReplyDeleteI AgRee LoVe ThiS ChApTer N THIs SuMMaRy WaS VErrY GoOd !!!..
ReplyDeleteIf you don't think a summary tells enough detail you need to include the details yourself, please go back and include some of the details that you think are missing!
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good summary.Mr.Jamison was a good white man.He was a trustworthy man.He knows papa started the fire but didnt say anything. And believe in the right things.Mr.Jamison is a good man!
