Mary Lou Wellever stated that Stacey could be dead and Cassie instantly attached her on school grounds. Miss Crocker breaks up the fight and sends Cassie into a classroom to talk with her cousin Suzella.
Suzella and Cassie venture off into the woods to talk about their personal feelings that they have kept to themselves. Meanwhile, Wordell has killed a cat because he feels it shouldn't live since it took the life of a bird that he cared about. Cassie and her brothers don't favor this act of cruelty from Wordell but they continue to follow him trying to fill in the absence of Stacey. Cassie begins to talk to Wordell telling him some of her deepest thoughts. After Cassie is healed from her sickness she feels more mature and her whole mindset has changed.

i dnt think he should have killed the cat because i would make him just like the cat and someone probly cared about tht cat.. and this is a good summmary....:)

ReplyDeleteI think Cassie really didn't have to attack Mary Lou but Mary Lou should have never said what she said because I mean like if it was me., I would've jumped her too. But anyways.......I think Cassie talking about her feelings to her cousin was a good idea, so she could let everything go. I also think that Wordell should have never killed the cat. THAT'S ANIMAL CRUELTY.! But I'm going on and on. So lemme just say, I really, really, REALLY liked your summary girl.! Hahaha..ha.

Deletegreat summary! this was my favirite chaoter, because you actually got to see how cassie feels unstead of her hiding them. i also like this chapter because i kinda get why wordell killed the cat i think he feels that is how thw white mean treat the blacks,even though he shouldnt have killed it.

This is a great summary!!!Cassie shouldnt have attack Mary Lou.But mary lou shouldnt have said anything.And i feel for Wordell but i dont think he should have killed the cat.Even thou the cat took the birds life he shouldn't take the cats life.I think Wordnell thinks thats how the white man treats the black people(Agree with Kyndra about Wordell)This was a very detailed summary good job Dessie!!

Wordell Should have not killed the cat. I don't think it was the right thing to do. So What if the cat took the bird's life. It is not like it did it on purpose. It is the way of life.
